The incident occurred on the third ball of the 10th over, with Piyush Chawla delivering a tossed-up ball outside off stump. Hooda reached out to drive but only managed to slice the ball off the outer half of his bat. The ball soared towards backward point, where Wadhera was positioned.

Despite it looking like the ball might go over him, Wadhera executed a remarkable leap, catching it with both hands. The effort, however, came at a physical cost. Wadhera fell hard on his back, and it was immediately apparent that he was in considerable pain.

The sight of him writhing on the ground was alarming, but fortunately, the injury wasn’t serious. He received prompt medical attention and continued to play, much to the relief of his teammates and fans alike.
