After many matches, Rajasthan Royals’ openers gave them a terrific start, with mainly Jos Buttler doing the heavy scoring in the powerplay. Padikkal and Buttler added 97 runs in 9.4 overs before Padikkal was bowled by Sunil Narine. Sanju Samson then came to the party and smashed 38 runs in 19 balls with 3 fours and a couple of sixes, but the whole RR innings was about Jos Buttler.

Jos Buttler smashed 50 in 29 balls and reached his second IPL century this season off 59 balls. He got out for 103 in 61 balls, and caught off the bowling of Pat Cummins, but it was an excellent inning. Once Buttler got out, RR batters started throwing their hands at every ball in an effort to gather as many runs as possible.
