Indian cricket team is currently one of the most dominating teams in the World Cricket and considering the same, New Zealand coach Mike Hesson has issued a warning to his players.  by asserting that they will have to put their best foot forward if they want to compete against the world’s number one ranked ODI team.

Kiwis’ coach has clarified that the Blackcaps need to give more than 100 percent on the field if they want to compete against the world’s number one ranked ODI team. New Zealand team is scheduled to play 3 ODIs and as many T20Is against the men in blue which will be starting from October 22 to November 7.

As per the reports of AFP, before leaving for India on Thursday, Hesson said, “Look, their record at home has been phenomenal in the last two or three years. You know going over there that you have to perform, otherwise you get taught a pretty harsh lesson. It’s important for us to adapt really quickly.”

In Septemeber, New Zealand Cricket announced a pool of 9 players for the ODIs against India. The remaining six players will be added according to the performances in the ongoing matches of New Zealand ‘A’ and India ‘a’ teams, who are playing five unofficial One-Day matches in India.

Talking about the said matches, Hesson said, “The beauty of an A tour means we’ve already got people in India, adapting to conditions, so when they come in they should be as familiar as they’re going to be. Obviously there’s the dew factor, the conditions are all very different depending on the grounds you go to. We’re going to rely a lot of the experience of our senior players.”
