The Test series between India and New Zealand has been in the limelight since its beginning. There was no difference in the second Test as well on Sunday at the Hagley Oval. Bowlers use the pitch well. While India’s bowlers bundled New Zealand out in the morning and post-lunch session, the hosts bounced back strongly to end the day on top. A whopping 16 wickets fell in the day as well.
Virat Kohli led India’s New Zealand tour ended with a bad note as yet another low score was witnessed as Colin de Grandhomme replicated his first-innings dismissal. However, Cheteshwar Pujara did well but there was nothing from others. Earlier, Indian bowlers and Jadeja showed a good performance. Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah bowled in lines to trouble the New Zealand openers while Tom Blundell was the first one to go and Bumrah sent back Kane Williamson.
Wickets kept on falling on regular intervals while few due to Jadeja’s brilliant fielding. He took a stunning catch to send back BJ Watling for a duck while his single-handed stunner at deep square leg to send back Wagner was the highlight day. He also dismissed Ross Taylor and Colin de Grandhomme.

Mohammed Shami also dismissed Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, Kyle Jamieson and Wagner. India, at one stage, had left New Zealand struggling at 153/7 and 177/8. But Wagner and Jamieson added 51 runs for the ninth wicket to get near to India’s total and were eventually bowled out for 235 runs in 73.1 overs.
Despite a superb comeback, India had nothing to do on the third morning to have any chance of levelling the series thanks to some scintillating bowling from New Zealand. However, cricket fans were happy to see the wickets fell and also reacted on Ravindra Jadeja’s astonishing one-handed catch which became beneficial for India. Here’s how the Twitterati reacted:
Ridiculous!! He is the Best fieldsman in the world 😳👏🏻 https://t.co/OShBArdUSL

Virat Kohli just had a long chat with Umesh Yadav in the dressing-room before sending him in. Hanuma Vihari had been padded up for a long time and in fact got up at the Rahane dismissal and checked if it was indeed Umesh who was going in #NZvIND @cricbuzz

200 should be the first target. Vihari, Rishabh and Jadeja should believe they can change the game. But this New Zealand attack is relentless
