Due to resilience, certain cricketers are widely regarded as the finest Test batters. However, former Australian skipper, Steve Smith, arguably the greatest batter in modern-day Test cricket, did not have great success against the Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja in Nagpur and was almost embarrassed until the latter overstepped a delivery that saved the batter.
Ravindra Jadeja witnessed a memorable comeback to international cricket after five long months, taking a five-wicket haul in the first innings and following it with a match-winning score of 70 runs against Australia in the first of the four-match series at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. He could have wrapped things off in a fitting way had he managed to put his foot inside the line while bowling.

On an outing where Ravindra Jadeja seemed to do little wrong, his only area of concern was bowling too many no-balls. He had Steve Smith in the first innings, cleaning him up through the gap between bat and pad. In a very similar way, the all-rounder dismissed the former Aussie skipper during the 32nd over of the innings, but later on, it was revealed that it was an illegal delivery because his foot crossed the line while bowling the wicket delivery.
Until the no-ball call, Steve Smith was the last man to be dismissed and the players were ready to shake hands. But then all of a sudden, the siren from the background confirmed the match is yet to be over.
Here is the video of the no-ball from Ravindra Jadeja:

Jadeja has to work on this overstepping issue. That's Steve Smith, ffs. His wicket doesn't come easy. 😥

It'd have been amazing to get smith as your 250th wicket today 🙂 @imjadeja
It's not easy to get past smith's defense, but jadeja did it twice in this test 🔥

Yes it's a no-ball but Jadeja is all over Smith's mind and technique. Exposed his bat-pad gap with some skillful bowling. Legendary stuff. #INDvAUS
