Chennai Super Kings assistant coach Sridharan Sriram has said that the CSK franchise is not sure about MS Dhoni’s plans regarding his IPL future ahead of their final league game against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 25 as well. Dhoni’s future has become a topic of discussion once again heading into the final game for them as well. However, MS Dhoni also said that he has not decided anything yet and will use the next eight months to see how he will be heading into IPL 2026 as well.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sriram said, “Not as much as I know. Really don’t know what is going to happen.
Sriram also said that the issues within the team are well-known to the head coach, Stephen Fleming, Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad, and they have a clear idea of what needs to be done as well.

“I think the good thing is Fleming and MS, Ruturaj. They’ve got a clear idea of what went wrong and what needs to be done. So I think the road ahead is quite clear, which I think is a real positive,” said Sriram again.

Notably, most of the plans for CSK went wrong this season, and Sridharan Sriram felt that it wasn’t just the middle-order that should be blamed for the poor season as well. The CSK assistant coach also felt that it was the way they played that was the issue at the end as well.
“Everybody knows that the season has not gone the way we would have wanted it to be,” Sriram said during the pre-match press conference. “It’s not just about the middle order, it’s about the way we have played the whole year and how the results have gone. So it’s unfair to put a finger on any one specific thing,” he added.
