It seemed to cricket fans that India captain Rohit Sharma’s Twitter account was hacked given the cryptic and obnoxious tweets that were posted through his official handle on March 1, 2022. Rohit Sharma recently led the Indian team to their third straight 3-0 whitewash in the limited-overs format in 2022.
Rohit Sharma will be leading Team India in the longest format of the game for the first time later this week. He will captain the side in the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka which will be commencing on March 4 onwards. The first Test will be played at the IS Bindra Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Mohali, Chandigarh.

This match will also be the 100th Test for the former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, however, the match will be played in front of empty stands as BCCI announced that the Test will be played behind closed doors. The next and second Test which will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will be the first day-night Test match between India and Sri Lanka.
The second Test of eths series will be witnessing some crowd in the stadium, as the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) secretary Santosh Menon confirmed 50% crowd will be allowed.

However, on March 1, fans were suspecting something was amiss as India captain Rohit Sharma posted a couple of tweets that were out of order. One tweet talked of buzzing beehives, while the other was about coin tosses which were tasty. “Bzz….! Did you know? Buzzing beehives make for great boxing bags!,” Rohit tweeted. “I love coin tosses…especially when they end up in my belly!,” the second tweet read. Even Harsha Bhogle enquired about the tweets, saying, “Uh…What? All okay Captain? Can’t make heads or tails of this.”
