The veteran Indian wicket-keeper batter, Dinesh Karthik has witnessed a dream comeback into international cricket after a long gap of almost three years. He had last played an international match during the 2019 World Cup semi-finals against New Zealand, which India had eventually lost. Since then, Karthik was out of the international picture.
But, now, Dinesh Karthik has improved his game and put out a remarkable performance at the IPL 2022 after being picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the mega auction. His consistent performances with RCB this year earned him a place in India’s T20I squad against South Africa in the home series.

Karthik responded to Sharma’s message and said “Don’t ever doubt that sham” with the wink emoticon.

Dinesh Karthik played a match-winning knock in the fourth T20I against the Proteas which concluded on Friday, June 17, as the Men in Blue made a comeback to level the series 2-2. Karthik’s 27-ball 55 towards the end of the first innings proved why he was known as one of the finest finishers and has the fire even now.
