Former India skipper Virat Kohli on January 31 (Tuesday) paid a visit to Swami Dayanand Giri ashram in Rishikesh. On social media, there has been a plethora of images floating as the batsman obliged the requests of the fans present at the spot. He was accompanied by his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and their daughter Vamika at the spiritual break that Kohli took ahead of India’s all-important Test series against the Kangaroos that begins February 9.
India has to at least draw the 4-match home series 2-2 to keep their chances of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC) final in their own hands. Kohli, along with fellow senior batsmen Rohit Sharma and Pujara will have a huge role in making sure last year’s runner-ups have another shot at the title.

Meanwhile, a dated video clip of Virat Kohli has taken the internet by storm after his visit to Swami Dayanand in Rishikesh, Uttrakhand. In the clip –which comes from his press conference ahead of the T20 WC 2016 knockout match against Steve Smith and co– Kohli can be seen giving a hilarious answer to a reporter’s question about his spiritual beliefs.
“Do I look the pooja-path types? (Do I look like I am into worship and prayers)”, Kohli can be heard saying in the clip that has now resurfaced.
Notably, this isn’t the first time the Indian stalwart has paid a visit to an ashram in recent times. The 2011 WC champion had previously been spotted at Neem Karoli Baba ashram, following which he had struck a couple of ODI centuries in his next 3 appearances. If or not his recent clock in at Rishikesh has a similar effect during the Test series against Australia remains to see. One thing, regardless, is clear. No matter how much he tries to run from it, King Kohli is indeed the pooja-path type.

I remember in one of his press conferences Kohli was asked about rituals/religious worships to which he replied "Do i look like puja path types".
