Later, Hasan appealed against that decision while Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) requested for a longer ban. Justice (retired) Hamid Farooq has recently put his judgement on the appeal where Hasan’s suspension has been extended for three more years but the fine remained the same amount.

The three charges against Hasan were – luring cricketers into a spot-fixing scam, not reporting approaches made to him by bookmakers, and hiding information regarding his contact with the bookmakers.
