In recent times, a lot of fast bowlers have been seen delivering lethal deliveries to batsmen and it’s one of the reasons batsmen take a hit on their body at times. Be it a deadly bouncer or a waist-high full toss, bowlers always make an attempt at deceiving batsmen with sheer pace. Case in point, Pakistan is currently in Zimbabwe for a brief tour comprising 2 Tests and 3 T20Is. During the second T20, Arshad Iqbal bowled a deadly delivery to Tinashe Kamunhukamwe.
The delivery was so lethal that it went on to hit the batsman’s helmet and the helmet was broken into pieces. The cricket fraternity has never seen such an instance before. The right-arm fast bowler might have probably hit the seam to counter the batsman. As it turned out, Iqbal beat the batsman with sheer pace as the ball smashed his helmet.

Pakistan already won the first match of the three-match T20I series in which they registered an 11 -run win. Currently, Babar Azam’s team is locking horns with Zimbabwe in the second T20I match. Meanwhile, Arshad Iqbal made his T20I debut in the ongoing fixture against Zimbabwe as he had received his maiden cap from senior cricketer Mohammad Hafeez.

The veteran wished him good luck just before the game. The 20-year-old young fast bowler took the cricket fraternity by storm with an impeccable bowling spell against the hosts. He bowled a brilliant spell of 4 overs conceding 16 runs and took a wicket as well. However, the young pacer grabbed the headlines when he delivered the fiery bouncer to Tinashe Kamunhukamwe.
Here is how fans reacted to the incident:
If I were a batter, I would never want to face Arshad Iqbal. Certainly not a good news for helmet manufacturers.
All aside, I was really scared for Kamunhukamwe. #zimvspak

You've heard of batsmen "hitting the cover off the ball" But have you ever seen a bowler knock the cover off a helmet?
Tinashe Kamunhukamwe had his helmet in two pieces after a nasty bouncer from Arshad Iqbal. Brilliant ✅👏💯 #PakvsZim #ZIMvPAK pic.twitter.com/lTdJezGQ1F
