Glenn Maxwell’s unbeaten 201 against Afghanistan in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has taken the world by storm. The Australian all-rounder, who is known for his unorthodox batting style, played a number of shots without using his feet. Now, it seems like the Pakistan camp is trying to learn the art of ‘footless’ batting.

The Black Caps are placed 4th on the table and a win against Sri Lanka will take them closer to the semis. In that case, Pakistan, as well as Afghanistan, need to win their next matches by a huge margin so that they can surpass New Zealand with a better Net Run Rate to make it to the knockouts.

Afghanistan, who are placed 6th on the table with 8 points, are set to face South Africa in their next game on Friday. The Proteas have already qualified for the next stage as the second-best team in the tournament with 6 wins from 8 games. It will be interesting to see if the Pakistan players are able to emulate Maxwell’s success in their next match against England. If they do, it could boost their chances of making it to the semi-finals.
