On Tuesday, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confined that 20 Pakistan cricketers along with 11 management personnel have been tested negative for coronavirus after their arrival in England. The ECB added that the latest round of tests for their training group and management conducted on Monday have come completely negative.
England players and staff have gone through three COVID-19 tests by now and the ECB also announced that six more Pakistan players had been cleared to join the tour after recording two successive negative COVID-19 tests. But the other four of the 10 players who originally tested positive for the virus last week will be staying back in Pakistan for now after falling further tests.

Earlier, PCB had informed that players like, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Hasnain, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman will now be traveling to England and join the Pakistan squad that left on Sunday.
Confirming the same, PCB said, “All the six players were re-tested on Monday, following their first negative test on June 26.”
However, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Haider Ali, and Haris Rauf have been tested positive for a second time and now they will be barred from traveling to England until they test negative two consecutive times.
Pakistan will play three Tests and three T20Is against England starting in August, with the exact dates yet to be confirmed. The Pakistan squad arrived in England late Sunday and have started a 14-day mandatory quarantine period before playing intra-squad practice match.

A 30-player England squad along with the support staff are currently going through a bio-secure training camp at the Ageas Bowl as they are preparing for next week’s Test against the Windies. This first fixture in the three-match series will mark the return of major international cricket post lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.
