Currently, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be locking horns with each other at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi for the 16th match of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After winning the toss, the SRH skipper, Bhuvneshwar Kumar decided to bowl first on a slow looking Kotla pitch. While batting first Delhi didn’t have the best of the starts as they lost both their openers in the powerplay itself.
During the toss, the DC skipper, Shreyas Iyer revealed that they have made three changes in their squad as Hanuma Vihari, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel, made way for Rahul Tweatia, Axar Patel, and Ishant Sharma. On the other hand, SRH made no changes in the squad as their regular skipper, Kane Williamson is still recovering from his elbow injury.
After the early dismissals of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, DC’s veteran batsmen Iyer along with Rishabh Pant also failed to add many runs for the third wicket and he got dismissed by Mohammad Nabi in the 10th over. A few overs after that, Delhi faced another blow in the form of Colin Ingram owing to a brilliant catch from Manish Pandey.

Sidhharth Kaul was bowling the 14th over and on the penultimate ball of the over, Pandey plucked a dipping ball at point while lunging towards his left. Kaul delivered a slower delivery which was quite wide outside off for Ingram, who was looking to cut in, but failed to control that shot. He ended up slicing up straight to Pandey who leaps to his left and managed to get his fingers under this with both hands.
