During the ongoing maiden T20I between India and Sri Lanka, Manish Pandey played a stellar innings to finish the Indian innings on a high note.

Pandey, who came in to bat in the 15th over after the fall of Lokesh Rahul (61), ended up scoring 32* (18) with the help of two fours and two sixes.

In what was the shot of his innings, he hit a six off Nuwan Pradeep in the penultimate over. Pradeep, who was expected to bowl a wide yorker, ended up bowling a beamer outside the off stump. Pandey ramped the ball over the third man boundary for a six.
