Former Indian wicket-keeper batter, Parthiv Patel showered praises on the Indian pacer, Umesh Yadav for his fiery spell on Thursday and said that the fast bowler produced a reverse swing masterclass on day two of the Indore Test. Yadav was in sublime form as he ensured that Australia didn’t get a big lead on Thursday. The pacer managed to scalp three wickets in the morning and brought up his 100th scalp in India with his spell.
Yadav ended up with figures of 12 for three as Australia was bundled out for 197 runs. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Patel said that the 35-year-old is the best to bowl in Indian conditions.

Parthiv Patel also opined that Umesh Yadav bowls reverse swing well and keeps it stump to stump. Patel pointed out that even on a low bounce wicket, Yadav bowls the top of the off-stump length. Patel said that stump to stump length is necessary on tracks like the one in Indore. Patel concluded by saying that Yadav produced a reverse swing masterclass on the day.
As per the quotes in India Today, Parthiv Patel said, “Umesh Yadav is the best bowler to bowl in Indian conditions. He completed 100 wickets in India as well, so we have to praise him. He bowls reverse swing well and bowls stump to stump. In terms of accuracy, he knows the length. Even if it is a low bounce wicket, he knows the top of the off length, the one that bowling coaches tell you. He keeps bowling that.”

He further added, “If you look at Cameron Green’s wicket, it was top of the stump, even if it was on leg stump. When he bowled Mitchell Starc and Murphy, you could see that he was bowling top of the off length. Stump to stump bowling is necessary on such tracks. Umesh Yadav has pace, reverse swing, he knows the length to bowl and the line to bowl. If you want to see a masterclass in reverse swing, then that was shown by Umesh Yadav today.”
