The Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma got dismissed by a peach of a delivery from his Australian counterpart Pat Cummins after being dropped by Steve Smith. In the post-Tea session when India was going well at 229/5, Cummins decided to get the new ball at the 80-over mark and soon managed to reap rewards by dismissing the Indian centurion.
Earlier in the game, Rohit Sharma surpassed a brilliant century and became the only Indian skipper to score a century in all three formats while leading the team. He got some apt support from R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja for the 2nd and 6th wickets respectively but failed to do much in the 3rd session of Day 2 of the opening Test of the 4-match series in Nagpur.

On Day 2, Rohit Sharma continued batting with a positive intent despite not getting any support from the other end. The 35-year-old stood strong at the one end despite wickets falling at regular intervals and he completed his marvelous century off 171 balls, with 14 fours and 2 sixes. Eventually, he was dismissed after playing an outstanding knock of 120 runs off 212 balls.
On the third ball of the 81st over, Pat Cummins managed to find the outside edge as Rohit Sharm went for a drive, but Steve Smith failed to take a catch at the second slip. However, on the next ball of the over, Cummins needed no fielder as Rohit’s off stump was on the ground.

Pat Cummins bowled a full ball which swung enough to beat the outside edge of Rohit Sharma and his off-stump went for a cartwheel, as a result, the wonderful innings from the Indian skipper.
