Former England skipper Paul Collingwood has showered praises on Virat Kohli after the latter hit a sensational ton in the fourth Test of the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Notably, that was Kohli’s first Test century in over three years, with the previous one coming against Bangladesh in 2019. Thus, Collingwood reckons that given his current form, the 34-year-old can once again be seen demolishing bowling line-ups of all the countries.

The 46-year-old also went on to add that Virat has the ability to get adjusted to any situation and score runs anywhere in the world. He was India’s leading run-scorer in the last editions of the Asia Cup, T20 World Cup, and also in the four-match Test series against Australia, and thus, Collingwood reckons that he is back to his absolute best.

During a recent chat with NDTV Sports, Paul Collingswood said, “He is back in form and a threat to all countries now. He is a class batter who can score run anywhere in any situation.”

Stumper-batter Rishabh Pant is currently out of action after suffering multiple injuries following a horrific car accident on December 30 last year. He is now recovering from the injuries but his return date to cricket is still unknown. Meanwhile, wishing him a speedy recovery, Collingwood called Pant the best batter in the world and mentioned that the cricket universe needs him badly.

Elaborating the same, Paul Collingwood said, “He is the best batsman. The way he plays is awesome and he has the ability to turn around the game, but unfortunately, he isn’t part of cricket this time. I would love to see him back on the field…the world (of) cricket needs him badly.”

Notably, two-time world champion Yuvraj Singh recently went to meet Pant at his residence and shared an update that the youngster is recovering well and is going to rise again.
