Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli has witnessed a rough patch in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and it continued during the match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). In a brief stay of 14 balls, Kohli scored 20 runs before getting dismissed by the South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada inside the powerplay overs.

However, at the time that he was in the crease, Virat Kohli looked good as he smashed one six and two boundaries. After his dismissal, Kohli looked frustrated when the third umpire ruled him out via the Decision Review System. Speaking after the game, RCB’s head of cricket operations Mike Hesson said that Kohli looked so good in the early overs that the dugout believed that the big score was due on the day against PBKS.

Mike Hesson said, “He looked in good touch, he was aggressive, and he is doing everything off the park as well in terms of making sure he prepares well. I thought today was going to be his day but once again it hits the other side of the thigh pad and goes down and he gets a single. He hasn’t had a huge amount of huge fortune especially when he has got himself set when he has got himself in. He is as frustrated as anybody.”

Reacting to Kohli’s dismissal, even the rival team was prompted to post a message on sociafl media hoping for the ‘King’s’ comeback. In their tweet, PBKS wrote: “Virat Kohli, even we enjoyed while it lasted. Hope luck turns on your side soon! ”

As things stand, Virat Kohli and his form have been a concern, not only for RCB but for the Indian fans as well. International stars like Mohammad Rizwan have given statements that they hope to see the former Indian skipper back in form soon and that they feel for him during these tough times.
