Pietersen Trolls Yuvraj As Chelsea Thrashed Manchester United

Former English batsman, Kevin Pietersen have often been seen engaging in some light-hearted banters with his friend Yuvraj Singh as both of them are ardent football fans. Similar banter took place recently when their teams locked horns with each other in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday night. Chelsea supporter Pietersen certainly had a lot to say to Manchester United fan Yuvraj after the Blues thrashed the Red Devils 3-1 in the second semi-final in London.

Pietersen took this opportunity to take a dig at Yuvraj, invited the latter as a guest to watch the Champions League with him after Man United crashed out of the FA Cup. The conversation between the two former stalwarts started when Chelsea scored three goals against a hapless United at the Wembley stadium.

“Hi, @YUVSTRONG12 – you ok mate?!” Pietersen asked Yuvi, who replied: “Haha no mate I’m not I’m hurting Face with hand over mouth.”

Offering Yuvraj being his quest to watch the champions league, Pietersen asked Yuvi to join him. Chelsea is standing at the second position in Group H with 11 points from 6 matches in the Champions League.

Manchester United, who have failed to qualify for this year’s edition of the Champions League, will host Lask in the Europa League Round of 16 in the second leg on August 6 at Old Trafford. Tweeting about the same, Pietersen wrote: “Just checking. Lots of talk a few weeks ago. Just checking you still wanted to chat?! Hope you recover well! You can come watch Champions League as my guest anytime”.

Responding to the same, Yuvraj wrote: “Hmmm let’s see we never give up @ManUtd”.

Chelsea made sure that the red devils pay for playing two glaring errors made by their goalkeeper David de Gea, scoring through Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount while their 3rd was an own goal from Harry Maguire. Manchester United managed to score a consolation goal when Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty in the 85th minute.
