Pitbull To Perform In Opening Ceremony Of PSL 2019

The 2019 Pakistan Super League (PSL) is scheduled to commence on February 14th in Dubai. The fourth edition of the popular T20 franchise will see six teams locking horns with each other in a total of 34 matches from Feb 14-Mar 17, to earn the trophy. The tournament opener will be played on February 14th between the defending champions and two-time winners Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Apart from the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, other venues for the PSL 2019 matches are Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Some of the matches, including the knockout matches and the final, will be played in Pakistan itself, with Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Stadium in Karachi being the two venues.

The opening ceremony of PSL 2019 will take place before the first match of the tournament between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United on February 14th, 2019 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

The star-studded ceremony will see participation and performances from Pakistani Sufi rock band Junoon, singers Aima Baig and Shuja Haider. Also, actor and singer Fawad Khan will be at the ceremony to perform the 2019 PSL title anthem “Khel Deewano Ka”. Rapper Desi Young will join international singer from Britain Marcia Barrett to perform in the ceremony.

However, one of the most famous rap artist in the world Pitbull is also expected to perform in the opening ceremony. Pitbull or Armando Christian Pérez is a renowned singer, record producer, and songwriter. He is known for his songs like “Give Me Everything” and “Timber”, Pitbull has performed the anthem for the 2014 FIFA World Cup along with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte. He has also performed in the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League 2015.
