Fakhar Zaman (Pakistan)
Since his debut in the Champions Trophy last year against South Africa, Fakhar Zaman has evolved into the most important member in the Pakistani batting lineup. The southpaw is by far one of the best performers for Pakistan with the bat. He has stunned one and all with his consistency and also notched up three centuries so far.
In the 18 matches that he played so far, Fakhar scored 1,065 runs at a mind-boggling average of 76.07. The young left-hander is also the fastest to score 1,000 ODI runs beating the likes of Sir Vivian Richard who got there in 21 games. Pakistan’s fortunes this tournament will largely depend on how this left-hander fares as the oppositions would be targeting him.
Hasan Ali (Pakistan)
The young Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has shown what he is capable of doing with the ball. He has picked up 68 wickets at an average of 20.88 from the 33 ODIs he has played. Ali is not just famous for his wild and signature style celebration after taking wickets, but also for the knack of picking wickets at crucial stages. Pakistan has a long bowling line-up in the Asia Cup squad with names like Mohammad Amir, Usman Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi and Junaid Khan, which means that Hasan Ali has ample support from the other end to rattle batsmen in middle overs.
