Rohit Sharma (India)
Rohit Sharma is arguably the finest batsmen to have donned the Indian jersey. He is nothing short of a legend when it comes to smashing mammoth records without breaking a sweat. Being the only cricketer with 3 double hundreds to his name, Rohit remains one of the strongest contenders who could strike hard in the Asia Cup contests. He will also be leading the Indian squad in the Asia cup 2018 in Virat Kohli’s absence.
Manish Pandey (India)
After getting several chances and failing to do well, Manish Pandey was axed from the ODI squad for the England tour. There were quite a few question marks on his future but he silenced all the critics with his performance in the recent Quadrangular series.
Pandey has led India B team in the tournament and played an important role in helping his team win it. He wasn’t even dismissed once in the entire tournament and scored 306 runs in four games. Hence, he was drafted back into the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2018. It will be quite interesting to see how this dynamic right-hander fares in the tournament.
