India and South Africa are looking horns with each other in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The players witnessed an unprecedented incident on a cricket field in the first innings as a snake was visible on the turf which stopped the play for quite some time.
Earlier in the game the South African skipper, Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bowl first citing the dampness on the pitch. While, the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma made no changes to the winning XI, the Proteas included Lungi Ngidi in place of Tabraiz Shamsi.
The Indian openers went with a flying start as Rohit and KL Rahul added 57 runs in the powerplay wing to a brilliant hitting from the latter. However, towards the start of the 8th over the play was stopped as a few people ran in with something like a long pole. The players won’t mind this, any time for a breather is good with the humid weather.
