Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen donning a new role on the cricket ground today. During the 44th over of the Indian innings, the match was interrupted for more than half an hour because some sections of the crowd had started throwing bottles on to the ground.

Initially, Dhoni and Rohit Sharma were seen relaxing mid-pitch. The Sri Lankan team was standing in a huddle near the stumps. Soon afterward, Dhoni was seen lying face-down on the grass. It appeared as if it was time for the Indian wicket-keeper batsman to have a power nap.

After the delay, play resumed and India continued their domination in the series by winding up the third match. Rohit Sharma (124*) and Dhoni (67*) They have now gained an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series. Jasprit Bumrah was declared the Man-of-the-Match for registering his maiden five-wicket haul in ODIs.
