Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha reckons that Kuldeep Yadav will be a lethal option at the pitch for the second Test match between India and England in Chennai. He added that Kuldeep has variations in his bowling and if the pitch shows signs of turn from Day 1 like it has been said by the Indian deputy skipper, Ajinkya Rahane, then he would be a good option to play.
Talking about the same during a chat on Sports Today, Pragyan Ojha said, “Kuldeep Yadav can make a difference if the wicket is, as everyone is speaking that it is going to turn from Day 1, so Kuldeep can be a big asset for you. And someone like Kuldeep, he has got a lot of variation. So, let’s see how things unfold tomorrow.”

Kuldeep was ignored for the first Test in Chennai which India lost by 227 runs on Tuesday. India played three off-spinners – Ravichandran Ashwin, Washington Sundar, and Shahbaz Nadeem – at the MA Chidambaram stadium.
Ojha also went on to add that just like in the first Test, the toss is likely to be a big factor, looking at the wicket here at Chepauk. He further added that if the ball starts to turn from Day 1 like most people are saying, then this match could get over in 3-3.5 days.
Describing the same, Pragyan Ojha said, “In Chennai, normally what I have heard in a few years prior to this was, the ball turns but it is not like it turns sharp and quick. There will be turn but it is not going to be like what it was earlier.”

He further added, “If everybody is saying that the wicket is dry, definitely it is going to turn and it will be a three or three and a half-day Test match. That’s what it looks like if the balls starts turning from Day 1.”
