Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketers watched the biopic of coach Pravin Tambe in a special screening recently. To note, Tambe made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the age of 41 in the 2013 edition. The now 50-year-old balanced his day work and cricket at the same time during starting years of struggle and found it difficult to even get selected to the Mumbai Ranji team.
However, the struggle and hard work of Pravin Tambe paid off as he came into the eyes of the Rajasthan Royals scout before 2013 IPL. Tambe made his debut for the former IPL champions in 2013 and went on to play for other franchises like Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders before he became the coach of KKR. A biopic film ‘Kaun Pravin Tambe’ has been made on his life and it was screened recently for KKR players, which is also his last franchise in the league.

During the screening, KKR skipper, Shreyas Iyer said, “We were waiting for the screening for a long time. The film is amazing. The songs are good and in the end, the film made us very emotional as well.”
Talking about the numbers of Pravin Tambe in IPL, he played 33 matches in which he managed to scalp 28 wickets at an average of 30.46. Tambe was quite economical as well, giving away 7.75 runs per over. He also had a four-wicket haul in toughest cricket league of the world.
