Joseph, yet to make his debut for the franchise, earned recognition following a stellar performance in the national team, where his seven-wicket haul contributed to the West Indies’ historic Test victory against Australia at the Gabba. Having replaced English speedster Mark Wood, who withdrew from the tournament due to workload management concerns, Joseph’s inclusion adds depth to LSG’s bowling arsenal.

The franchise initiated the IPL 2024 campaign with a defeat against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, revealing early challenges in their bowling lineup. With only Krunal Pandya managing to maintain economical figures, conceding a mere 19 runs in four overs, LSG seeks to bolster their performance.

Their quest for a maiden win intensifies as they face PBKS in their inaugural home fixture at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow. The addition of Joseph promises to inject vitality into the playing XI, with his ability to deliver express pace ranging between 140-150 kph.
