Despite the fact that Team India has not been that much dominant during Sri Lanka’s tour to India as in the T20I series only they managed to win the series opener. However, they must be looking to continue their winning spree as it will also help them to improve their ICC T20I ranking.

The second T20I between the two team will take place on Friday in Indore. However, from the Sri Lankan point of view, their woes seem to be increasing each passing day, who collapsed to a heavy 93-run defeat in the series-opener in Cuttack.

While the young Indian brigade has been doing nothing wrong and forcing the Lankans to go through a terrible phase of transition during which they are badly in need of competent performers.

The recent results between the two teams suggest that there has been a lack of contest, but despite all that,  a question is still is arises that why India playing such a weak side again and again.

The absence of regulars like skipper Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar hasn’t made any difference in Sri Lanka’s fortunes in the T20Is, who overtly rely on seniors such as Angelo Mathews. Players such as Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have come into their own directly after making their International debuts.

Sri Lanka needs skipper Thisara Perera, Upul Tharanga, and Mathews to lead by example. While players such as Samantha Chameera and Dhananjaya De Silva have shown encouragement, but still need guidance to be consistent.

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has once again got back his finishing prowess as he got some runs under his belt after being promoted to number four in Cuttack. He is likely to be donning the same batting position at which he played in Cuttack as that will give him enough overs in a match situation before the ODI and T20 challenge in South Africa.

Indian opener Kl Rahul also looked in great touch despite warming the benches from past couple of series and that will might force the stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma to not to make any changes in the squad.
