The 45th match of IPL 2025 between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium saw plenty of drama, highlighted by some sharp bowling brilliance. While Ryan Rickelton lit up the afternoon with a breathtaking knock, another key moment arrived courtesy of Prince Yadav’s stunning delivery to dismiss Will Jacks.

After Rickelton’s fiery 25-ball fifty — the fastest for a Mumbai Indians batter this season — gave MI a flying start, it was Will Jacks and Suryakumar Yadav who attempted to rebuild after a couple of quick wickets. Their partnership was beginning to threaten Lucknow Super Giants when Prince Yadav intervened. In only his second over, the young pacer delivered a searing 137 km/h yorker that tailed in late with a hint of reverse swing.

Will Jacks, who had looked confident during his stay with 29 off 21 balls, was a touch slow in bringing his bat down. The ball snuck through the bat-pad gap and shattered the middle stump, sending Jacks back to the pavilion and handing LSG a much-needed breakthrough.

Earlier, Rickelton’s explosive innings had the Wankhede crowd buzzing. Smashing the bowlers to all parts, he looked set for a massive score before Digvesh Rathi’s crafty googly deceived him, leading to a catch at backward point. Rathi, true to his trademark, celebrated Rickelton’s dismissal with his now-iconic notebook celebration.
