Prithvi Shaw is featuring in Mumbai’s Vijay Hazare squad

Young dynamic batsman Prithvi Shaw has been added to Mumbai’s squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy, which will be played in Chennai from February 5. Mumbai Cricket Association announced the squad on Tuesday for the domestic One-Day tournament, where India’s U-19 skipper was featuring.

Other than him, opener Jay Bista and in-form Siddhesh Lad are in the squad. Surya Kumar Yadav and Akhil Herwadkar also cracked into the Aditya Tare-led team.

Dhawal Kulkarni has been named the vice-captain and he will be leading the bowling line-up. Akash Parkar will give strength to the fast-bowling department.

Mumbai is doing well in the domestic cricket but failed to win either of Ranji Trophy or Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. Mumbai will take on Madhya Pradesh in their opening game on February 5, Gujarat on January 6, Tamil Nadu on January 8, Rajasthan on January 9, Goa on January 12 and Andhra on January 14 in Group C.
