The young India opener Prithvi Shaw seems to be up and ready for the upcoming 4-match Test series against Australia as the 21-year-old has shared a social media video in which he can be seen batting alongside the skipper, Virat Kohli, who can be seen standing at the non-striker’s end.
Captioning the video on Instagram, Shaw wrote, “Back to Australia after almost a year, time to work hard and play harder.” He hasn’t been included in the squads for the ODI and T20I series. In the video, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav can be seen bowling one after the other.

Notably, Prithvi Shaw was initially part of the Indian Test squad during the 2018-19 tour as well but was ruled out later after an unfortunate an ankle injury during a practice game against Cricket Australia XI.

Shaw started his Test career with a bang when he amassed 134 against West Indies in Rajkot in 2018. He played his second match in Hyderabad in the same year before playing his other two matches this year in New Zealand. In New Zealand, he scored a single fifty from his 4 outings.
Prithvi Shaw has had a forgettable outing in the IPL 2020 season before landing in the Kangaroo nation. He finished the tournament with 228 runs from 13 games at an average of 17.53 with two half-centuries.

The Indian team India arrived in Australia on Thursday and is currently undergoing a 14-day quarantine period in Sydney. The first Test match between the two cricketing giants is scheduled to be played in Adelaide from December 17.
