India’s young prodigy Prithvi Shaw has regained the full fitness and is raring to take the field. He was all set to play Test matches in Australia but an untimely injury sidelined him from the four-match series Down Under. During a practice game in Australia, Shaw twisted his ankle while taking a catch near the boundary rope. Since then, he hasn’t played a single competitive match.

Coming out of injury, Shaw said “I felt sad as it was a good opportunity for me to play the quality Australian bowling line-up. I was a bit upset. But some things aren’t in your hands. Now I am looking forward to the Mushtaq Ali tournament to find my touch and gain my confidence back.”

Shaw made his debut in Test cricket in October 2018 against the visiting Windies in Rajkot where he scored a magnificent century. At the same time, he became the youngest Indian batsman to score a century on debut when he hit 134 in the Rajkot Test at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 25 days.

His blistering knocks in those two matches earned him a seat on the flight to Australia but unfortunately, he couldn’t showcase his talent on the Aussie soil. At first, team management thought he will regain fitness after the first two Tests, but later he was ruled out from the complete series.
