Prithvi Shaw Seeks Sachin Tendulkar’s Help For The Grueling Australia Tour

The young Indian prodigy, Prithvi Shaw has been doing his preparations for the upcoming tour to Australia in full flow as he has resumed training in the company of the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. As per a report published in the Times of India, Shaw, who injured his elbow during the Deodhar Trophy, was back training at the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy in Mumbai where he spent an hour under the supervision of the legendary batsman.

As per a sources of TOI, Tendulkar was seen sharing some tips and tricks with Shaw about batting in Australia. Shaw has begun his routine by batting against the rubber ball on Monday and practiced on Wednesday too.

One of the sources said, “Tendulkar, Prashant Shetty, and Jagdish Chavan all gave throw-downs to him at MIG for about an hour. Tendulkar and Chavan gave throw-downs to him with a wet rubber ball on a tarpaulin (used to protect the wicket against rain), in order to prepare him for the Australian tour. Because of Prithvi, Tendulkar came about an hour early to MIG.”

During the Deodhar trophy game, Shaw took a blow by a short delivery from Deepak Chahar while batting for India A, and subsequently missed Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy opener against Mumbai. His next mission will be a tour to New Zealand with India A where he will be playing under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane before taking the flight to Australia. The first Test is scheduled to commence on December 6 in Adelaide.

Shaw has had a memorable international debut in the opening Test against in the Windies in Rajkot as he scored a century in his first international innings. He is expected to grab a lot of eyeballs on the bouncy pitches of Australia.
