3. Ishan Kishan

The Gujarat Lions batsman plays domestic cricket for the same team as Dhoni and had a wonderful Ranji season last year as well. He managed to score as much as 799 runs for Jharkhand in the tournament. Kishan is just 18 years of old but unquestionably, he has the ability to make it big in international cricket as well. If the selectors are looking for a long-term replacement for MS, then Kishan can be a prime prospect, as he possesses a similar attacking style of play and good reflexes and handling behind the stumps like Dhoni.

4. Rishabh Pant

The Delhi youngster is one of the best prospects for the Indian squad and is similar to Dhoni in many terms. The flamboyant southpaw plays an attacking brand of cricket and he also has excellent attitude and talent to be a starter for the Indian squad. Pant’s wicket-keeping skills are pretty good due to his strong reflexes. After seeing the Indian squad for CT 2017, it seems that Indian selectors are certainly be looking at him as a possible replacement once MSD hangs his boots from international cricket.
