Just a day after India’s women scripted history by clinching their maiden ICC Women’s ODI World Cup title, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) honoured its homegrown stars for their outstanding contributions to the nation’s triumph. The board announced cash rewards for captain Harmanpreet Kaur, all-rounder Amanjot Kaur, and fielding coach Munish Bali, acknowledging their vital roles in the historic campaign.

According to the announcement, Harmanpreet and Amanjot will each receive ₹11 lakh, while Bali will be awarded ₹5 lakh for his role in shaping the team’s fielding excellence. The PCA also revealed plans to host a special felicitation ceremony soon to celebrate the achievements of the Punjab trio.

Harmanpreet Kaur, hailing from Moga, showcased exemplary leadership throughout the tournament, guiding India to its first-ever Women’s ODI World Cup title. Young all-rounder Amanjot Kaur’s consistent all-round performances proved crucial in the knockout stages, while fielding coach Munish Bali’s behind-the-scenes influence ensured India maintained world-class standards on the field.

PCA President Amarjit Singh Mehta and Honorary Secretary (Officiating) Siddhant Sharma lauded their efforts, expressing immense pride in Punjab’s contribution to India’s cricketing milestone.
