Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann came forward to cheer for his home team, extending his best wishes to the Punjab Kings.

“Good luck to the Punjab Kings team,” Mann said, as the entire state of Punjab rallies behind their side in the hopes of witnessing their maiden IPL title triumph. With Punjabi singer and rapper Karan Aujla also backing PBKS with a sizeable Rs 3.1 crore wager, the buzz in Punjab is electric.

Meanwhile, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar proudly backed Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who have reached their first IPL final since 2016. Speaking to the media, Shivakumar said, “I’m happy. Bengaluru boys RCB will win in Ahmedabad. After a very long time, they’ve come to the finals. The government and the people of Karnataka are waiting for their victory.”

 

He also took to social media to share an emotional message for the RCB faithful. “Ee Sala Cup Namde! 18 years of grit. Every prayer, every cheer, every heartbreak – it all leads to today. This is more than a match. Our moment. Our cup. Wishing @RCBTweets the very best – Karnataka is with you!”
