The Indian team received a massive boost in their hopes of reaching the final of the WTC 2023 after a set of favorable results elsewhere. However, they need to whitewash the home side in the ongoing Test series to keep their destiny in their own hands.
Team India will be aiming to seal the series in the absence of their regular skipper, Rohit Sharma, who has been ruled of the second Test as well after missing the series opener due to a thumb injury. Apart from the Indian skipper, speedster Navdeep Saini is also unavailable for the second and final Test with the series on the line.

Meanwhile, the hosts are also without their impressive fast bowler, Ebadot Hossain, who sustained an injury during the first Test and could not bowl in the second innings. Shakib Al Hasan’s men have an abysmal record in Test at home this year and will hope that Mushfiqur’s chat with Dravid could inspire them to an unprecedented comeback in the series decider.
