During the ongoing first T20I between India and Sri Lanka at Cuttack, Lokesh Rahul was given out leg before the stumps by umpire Nitin Menon on the first ball of the seventh over.

Rahul, who was dropped for the ODI series, was beaten by Mathews in front of the wickets. After been given out, he immediately signalled for the DRS.

The replays showed that the ball would have gone to completely miss the stumps. Citing the same sight in mind, umpire Menon was asked to reverse his decision.

Earlier in the evening, Thisara Perera, the Sri Lankan captain, had won the toss and chose to bat.
