Rajasthan Royals all-rounder, Rahul Tewatia took to Instagram on Thursday to shared the relishing news of his engagement and share a picture with his fiancee. The couple got engaged on Wednesday and as soon as the all-rounder posted pictures from the ceremony on social media, former and current Indian players along with fans flooded were seen wishing the couple on a special day.
Former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina was one of the first played to extend his best wishes. Tweeting along with a heart emoji, Raina wrote: “Congratulations brother.” On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Raina and Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Unmukt Chand also wished the couple.

On Tuesday, Tewatia’s Rajasthan Royals teammate Jaydev Unadkat also got hitched in a private ceremony. Tewatia was last seen on the field for Haryana in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Haryana had fought their way to reach the quarter-final of the tournament but was outplayed by Baroda in the fight for semis.
The 27-year-old all-rounder will be seen in action in the upcoming 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Tewatia, who caught everyone’s attention with his big hitting in last year’s IPL, was retained by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the important player auction later this month.
The left-handed batsman garnered a lot of limelight after smashing five sixes in an over off West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell during an IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
In the 13th edition of the IPL, Rahul Tewatia had amassed 255 at an average of 42.5 in 14 matches and also managed to scalp 10 wickets with a miserly economy rate of 7.08 in UAE for RR.
