Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhanjanlal Sharma, recently took the opportunity to meet with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) team players and support staff, extending his congratulations for their remarkable unbeaten streak in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. RR’s exceptional performance, leading the IPL 2024 points table with an unbeaten record of four wins from as many matches, has captured widespread attention and admiration.
This significant achievement prompted the state’s top leadership to express their appreciation and encouragement towards the team’s efforts. CM Bhanjanlal Sharma hosted the Royals’ team at his official residence in Jaipur, where he was warmly greeted by the team’s CEO, Jake Lush McCrum.
McCrum presented the Chief Minister with a token of appreciation, including a signed bat, team jersey, and a ball autographed by all the players. Taking to social media, CM Sharma shared his sentiments, expressing his encouragement and best wishes for the team’s upcoming matches.

The visit was attended by the state’s Sports Minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Rajasthan Royals Vice President Rajeev Khanna, and head coach Kumar Sangakkara, alongside the team’s captain, Sanju Samson. This meeting follows a previous invitation extended to Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, to witness the IPL 2024 action firsthand at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Having been granted a Golden Ticket, granting him access to all of the Royals’ home matches in the ‘Pink City’, CM Sharma’s engagement underscores the government’s support and enthusiasm for cricket in the region. Reflecting on the team’s history, the Rajasthan-based franchise clinched the IPL title once in the inaugural season of 2008 under the leadership of the late Shane Warne.

Despite their past successes, including reaching the finals in the 2022 edition, where they faced defeat against the Gujarat Titans, RR is now setting new benchmarks in the current season, showcasing their dominance with eight points and an impressive net run rate of +1.120.
