The Rajasthan Government has written a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the order request the board to hold the home venue of Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Maan Singh Stadium at Jaipur.

The last time the Pink City hosted an international match was back in 2013 against Australia where India historically chased down a monumental total of 360 thanks to the knocks from Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan.

The state government’s affirmation is a backdrop of the fact that Rajasthan Royals are intending to shift their base outside Jaipur in the wake of prevailing insecurity over the membership of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). It is learned that the Shilpa Shetty co-owned team had requested the BCCI to move its matches to Pune or Guwahati. The final decision on the matter is expected to be taken during the meeting between the franchise owners and BCCI on November 21.

However, the Rajasthan Royals have rejected all rumors of their franchise going under the hammer and stated that they would be inspired in the capital of Rajasthan if things work out.
