Rajasthan Royals (RR) campaign in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been nothing less than a roller coaster ride. Under the captaincy of Steve Smith, their campaign started with a couple of thumping victories, but they have managed to win just one game since then.
In their first match of IPL 2020, RR registered a win against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 17 runs after posting a mammoth target of 216 runs on the board. After the win against CSK, they defeated KXIP while chasing a huge target of 223 runs. However, the team’s fortune has drastically changed in the league.
Once the table-toppers are now placed at the seventh place in the points tally with just three wins in eight games. The Rajasthan-based franchise is in desperate need of getting back to the winning ways in order to keep their hopes of making it to the playoffs alive.
Smith’s men are locking horns with Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday, October 17 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In their previous faceoff, RR lost by eight wickets and would want to make some amends. meanwhile, infamous, dating app, Tinder India dropped a funny tweet, asking if RR’s page admin is single. They took to Twitter and wrote, “Is the @rajasthanroyals admin single? Kaafi funny hai.”

The Royals won’t be getting to play at Sharjah anymore, at least in the league phase of the T20 tournament. They even lost one game in Sharjah when the Delhi Capitals (DC) thrashed them by 46 runs on Friday, October 9. It remains to be seen if and when they make a comeback.
