Besides the mainstream tournaments between the 8 franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, there’s been a competition between the social media teams of the respective teams. One of the best in this business, the Rajasthan Royals’ Twitter handle has been on fire all season so far. And now, while announcing the beg news of the return of Ben Stokes in the squad, they find the quirkiest way of doing the same.

The wait for the arrival of Ben Stokes to the UAE is finally over as the RR indicated on Twitter that the World Cup-winning star all-rounder will be joining the squad soon. Tweeting about the same on Saturday, Rajasthan Royals wrote: “Hi guys, quick question. How long does it take from Christchurch to UAE?”

Moreover, the cricketer himself posted a photo on Instagram, at the airport, with his parents. It is almost certain that Stokes will soon be seen back in RR colors in the ongoing IPL 13 season. He captioned those pictures as: “Goodbye’s never get easier”

Early in August, during Pakistan’s tour of England, Ben Stokes had to go back to New Zealand to be alongside his ailing father Ged. Stokes’ father, former rugby league international, was hospitalized in Johannesburg last year right ahead of Christmas.

Stokes was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for ₹12.5 crores in the IPL 2018 auction. Since signing up for the Royals, Stokes hasn’t been able to prove in mettle in the cash-rich league. In 2018, Stokes managed just 196 runs and picked up 8 wickets in 13 matches while he added 123 runs and picked up 6 wickets in 9 matches in 2019.

However, since his 2019 glory, Stokes has been merged as a match-winner in whichever format he has played and Rajasthan has been waiting for him thus. As per our understanding, Stokes will arrive in UAE on the early morning of Sunday and join the RR camp in Dubai.
