Rajat Patidar of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) remains optimistic about his team’s prospects in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024, despite their current standing at the bottom of the points table. With an upcoming crucial encounter against Gujarat, Patidar emphasized the team’s focus on taking each match as it comes, without dwelling on comparisons or future scenarios.
Addressing the media in a pre-match press conference, Rajat Patidar stressed RCB’s commitment to concentrating solely on their immediate task at hand. “About points tables, we discuss this, but we don’t compare ourselves with other teams. We are focusing on one match at a time. We believe that we can turn around the points table,” he affirmed.
RCB’s recent victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad halted a six-match losing streak, injecting a much-needed boost of confidence into the team. However, Patidar acknowledged the challenging road ahead, recognizing the importance of maintaining a disciplined approach in the remaining fixtures.

“We have 5-6 more games from here, and I think we should focus on one game at a time. We are not focusing too ahead that what we can do from here to the end of the tournament, so, it is good to focus on one game at a time,” Rajat Patidar stated.
Looking ahead to the clash against Gujarat, Patidar emphasized the importance of simplicity in approach, underlining the team’s determination to execute their plans effectively. “Everyone is in a good frame of mind because we won the last match and we did it beautifully. About the next game, we are keeping things simple, so that we can execute our plans well,” he added.
