The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has come up with the plan of proposing a four-nation T20I series involving India, Pakistan, England, and Australia to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Raja said that if the series gets approved, the profits will be shared between all ICC members.

Tweeting about the same, Ramiz Raja wrote: “Hello fans. Will propose to the ICC a Four Nations T20i Super Series involving Pak Ind Aus Eng to be played every year,to be hosted on rotation basis by these four. A separate revenue model with profits to be shared on percentage basis with all ICC members, think we have a winner.”

India and Pakistan have not locked horns with each other in matches outside ICC events or the Asia Cup since 2013. The 2012/13 T20I series, in which India hosted Pakistan, was also the last bilateral series played between the two arch-rivals and they have not faced each other in a Test series since 2008.

Indi and Pakistan most recently faced each other in the T20 World Cup, where Pakistan recorded their first win over India in a World Cup tournament. Pakistan registered a massive 10-wicket win over India in the match and went on to be knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual champions Australia.

While Pakistan was the only team to finish the Super 12 stage unbeaten, India failed to make it beyond the group stage, having lost to New Zealand by seven wickets in their second group match.
