Gujarat Titans (GT) leg-spinner Rashid Khan has stated that captain Hardik Pandya has maintained an amazing environment amongst the team after they registered their fourth win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. GT registered a 37-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their last game and Rashid Khan was economical conceding only 24 runs.IPL 2022 is turning out to be a very decent campaign for Gujarat Titans.

The franchise is led by Hardik Pandya in its debut season and many have praised him for his leadership skills. Batting first, they posted a total of 192/4 courtesy of unbeaten 87 runs from 52 balls by Hardik Pandya, and David Miller also played a clinical knock of unbeaten 31 from 14 balls. The team defended the target easily as they restricted opponents on 155/9. Lockie Ferguson and Yash Dayal picked three wickets each.

Talking about Hardik Pandya during the post-match press conference, Rashid Khan said, “The way he (Hardik) has led the team, the way he has kept the team environment, inside and outside the field has been amazing so far.”

Hardik’s decision-making has also been good in the tournament so far. In the last game as well, Yash Dayal conceded a lot of runs in his first couple of overs. However, Pandya still backed him and he bowled his full quota of four overs. Rashid Khan said that Pandya takes brave and right decisions.

Rashid Khan concluded, “He (Hardik) is someone who always takes that brave decision, always has confidence and he is someone who is very clear in mind on what he is going to do. This is an important thing as a captain when your mind is clear, and you take right decisions, the result will take (care) by itself. You take right decisions with confidence, that is something which makes him the best and he has been delivering the best so far and leading from the front.”
