Rashid Khan is very excited to play the South African T20 league MSL

Afghanistan star leg-spinner Rashid Khan is very excited to feature in the inaugural edition of the South African T20 franchise league – Mzansi Super League, starting on November 16.

Since making his international cricket debut in 2015, the Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan has gradually grown up his high status in the world cricket. In the present several T20 leagues in the world, Rashid is in the top-demand list.

Though he has already featured in the several foreign T20 leagues like Indian Premier League (IPL), Big Bash League (BBL), Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the 20-year-old Rashid is still very excited to feature in the inaugural edition of Mzansi Super League (MSL) as he has never played cricket in South Africa. In the inaugural edition of MSL, Rashid will play for Durban Heat.

Rashid recently said, “I am so excited to be playing in the first edition of the Mzansi Super League. I have never played cricket in South Africa before and I have only heard great things. South Africans are passionate about cricket and I am looking forward to experiencing a new country and culture.”

While the South African condition is totally new for him, Rashid believes that his experiences of playing in different conditions will help him to adopt this new situation and condition too.

He added, “It is going to be a new environment for me, but I think that my experience of playing in different conditions will enable me to adapt to the situation and conditions.”

The present no.1 T20I ranked bowler Rashid Khan has credited for his success in sticking to his game plan and he further claims that he will follow it always.

The leg-spinner said, “I’ve got to No. 1 by sticking to my game plan and that is what I will always do. T20 is a game that can change very quickly and not every game is going to go your way, and I will just do my best to try and win matches for my team.”

Apart from playing in South Africa, Rashid is also excited to share his dressing room with some great Protease cricketers like Hashim Amla and David Miller.

Rashid said, “The beauty of T20 franchise cricket is the world-class players that you play with and against. To be playing with the likes of Hashim and David is great and I look forward to joining up with them and the rest of the team.”
