Rashid Khan Posts Moving Video To Support India Amid The Fight Against COVID-19

While India have been struggling amid the crunch time of COVID-19, many players like Pat Cummins, Brett Lee, Sachin Tendulkar have come forward and lent their support to India’s fight against the second wave of the deadly virus. Amid this time, Rashid Khan took to Twitter on Friday and shared that everyone in Afghanistan are with India in these tough times.

However, the veteran leg-spinner, who has been playing for the SunRisers Hyderabad franchise in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), also requested everyone to maintain social distance and wear a mask as well.

“Everyone back home in Afghanistan is with you INDIA in this tough time . Please everyone stay safe stay home maintain social distance and Wear Mask plz Folded hands #WeAreWithYouIndia,” Rashid Khan captioned a video on Twitter.

On the other hand, on Monday, Australia speedster Pat Cummins, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, has donated USD 50,000 to ‘PM Cares Fund’. “As players we are privileged to have a platform that allows us to reach millions of people that we can use for good. With that in mind, I have made a contribution to the “PM Cares Fund,” specifically to purchase oxygen supplies for India’s hospitals,” the Australian player wrote.

Meanwhile, former Australia player Brett Lee has donated one Bitcoin for India’s fight against the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic as well. Even, on Thursday, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals have also donated funds for Covid relief funds.

Apart from them, former Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has also donated Rs one crore to ‘Mission Oxygen’ to raise funds for importing oxygen concentrators and donating them to hospitals all over the world as well.

However, the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League has been taking place in India amid this crunch time and behind closed doors as well. However, the league will end on May 30 as well.
