The young leg-spinning sensation from Afghanistan, Rashid Khan has now earned a huge fan following across the world, especially in India because of the exceptional performances he gave in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL).

However, the performance that he gave in the virtual semi-final match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) impressed one and all as he single-handedly took the team to the finale. The semi-finale night will always be remembered for Rashid Khan’s devastating performance.

Not just with the ball, but Rashid left everyone stunned with his batting exploits as well. He slammed 34 runs in 10 balls and later took 2 wickets and an effective run-out. He was phenomenal in all the three departments of the match.

The young leggie has become a hero on various social media and has become a talk of the town. People have literally gone berserk over his talent. A few people were so impressed with the stunning performance of Rashid Khan that they wanted him to get the citizenship of India so that he can play for the Indian team in the upcoming World Cup 2019.

After reading the tweets of Indians, it was the President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani who tweeted that they won’t give Rashid Khan as he is the asset to their cricket team.

After this tweet from Afghan’s president, people started giving them the offers. However ACB chairman, Atif Mashal was quick enough to respond to all the offers. He acknowledged but said that they won’t give Rashid as he is a patriotic Afghan. Here’s what he tweeted:

Rashid Khan also came up with a reply. He replied in support of the chairman and mentioned that he is looking forward to bringing peace in his country. Here’s what he tweeted:
